

I picked up next two books right away after finishing it - Norwegian Wood and Kakfa on the Shore. Important part of the Sputnik Sweetheart are its locations and Murakami has done great job portraying them - whether it was Japan or anywhere else. I also liked the witty feeling of the book, even though the plot has not always followed that. I remember how the supernatural elements caught me off guard and how I did not really like them! But the author writes so beautifuly, for me it was more of a visual experience than anything else. My first Murakami's book and probably the best introduction I could have had.
